 Stir Crazy

Stir Crazy

A humorous view on domestic desperation during Covid19.

No cinema, no pubs, no parties - the second lockdown drags on for weeks. How do women experience the Corona situation and what strategies and rituals have they developed in response? For those who live alone, the desire for a committed partnership arises more frequently during the lockdown phase. For women with children, it is impossible to be seen as anything other than a mother. With the brunt of responsibilities falling disproportionately on working mothers, family life has become unbelievable intimate, suffocatingly close, yet a saving grace in this time of uncertainty.

This project was completed in close collaboration with stylist Mine Uludag.
